She is 8 years old and has had this bump on her tummy for about two years. It was smaller in the past (dime size) and it has become larger now (about quarter size). I have taken her into her vet before and he said that it could be one of two things; either just some fatty tissue or possibly a hernia. I’m just really worried about her because this bump looks and feels like a cyst that feels with fluid as the day goes on. Its very small in the morning when she wakes and gets much larger through out the day and seems to enlarge with stress.

She doesn’t seem to be in pain however I’m planning on taking her in to see another vet soon, but what could this be? What might need to be done?

I lived in CO. before the ban and was a pit owner. I have always had a pit since I was an infant. My pits are a big part of my life and I will not let anyone take them away. What gives them the right to tell me I can’t have my dogs, I owen the property where they will live! I pay taxes, I vote, and it is my constitutional right of personal freedom and happiness! My Pit Bulls make me happy! The majority of dog attacks are not even pits, and what do they think a bull mastiff is? It is the largest of the bull breeds and they didn’t ban them, simply because “pit” is not in the name. Even poodles can be vicious but they didn’t ban them. The majority of dog attacks are German Shephards but they didn’t ban them! Please, someone knows, what county, or town, will my dogs be safe in Colorado?

My dog is a small male yorkie/chihuahua and has mated with my aunts poodle.i have three different questions:
1.im worried that the babies will be born with complications will they????
2.im not definitely sure if she is pregnant because yesterday i saw them “mating” and this morning he wont let anyone go near her and hes never been this aggressive. is this a sign that shes pregnant?
3.if she is how long will it take them to be born??
i need answers A.S.A.P!! thanks
hey f.y.i i love puppies and i never planned to breed them! i left my dog with her to take care of him and it just happened and they are not mongrels you damn puppy haters!!!! so if anyone has USEFUL info please tell me if not then go take ur pessimistic ideas elsewhere!

for one, I heard they shed. I’m very allergic to things that shed (eyes swell shut, I get hives, etc.) Would their shedding be a problem?

and two, we have three small dogs, toy poodles. I don’t know if they would deal well with eachother. Along with that, I’m scared our 3 dogs would feel neglected if a new, larger dog was to come into the household. would our current dogs pose a problem for a greyhound?

the one we are looking to possibly adopt is a 5 year old light red-brown racedog that has scars, and half an ear, just so you know :)
…I really don’t want my dogs to be killed. lol. we’re getting our house checked, so hopefully that will provide some insight.

her name’s tasha, if you want to take a look

Looking for my dream breed?

Posted by: | Comments (13)

I am looking for an affectionate, medium small dog (35 pounds at largest). I would like him to be furry, with soft fur like a golden or a husky (I am well aware that THOSE are not small dogs). Not fond of poodles, or wire haired dogs. I don’t mind if he sheds.
I am looking for a companion to cuddle with at night, and one that will encourage me to exercise more. I don’t want to plunge suddenly into 1 hour runs, so a medium energy level would be nice, so that I don’t exhaust myself, or neglect his exercise needs.
Any ideas?

what do you think of the mix silky terrier X poodle.
would I be wrong If i canceled my dog’s spaying appointment and mixed my dog with my cousin’s shihpoo and kept the puppies? Wouldn you call me a puppy mill or breeder? I’m not canceling the appointment just wanted to hear your thoughts. I’m only thirteen, and am happy with my one puppy. Don’t you have to have a puppy that is around 2 years old, to have a good pregnancy?
JUST WONDERING

A good smaller dog for my grandparents?

Posted by: | Comments (11)

Hello,

My Grandparents lost their little Shetland Sheepdog (RIP Lulu x)recently, & they’re looking for another dog. It has to be smaller as they couldn’t manage a big dog. They had a GSD (Same as us) years ago & they couldn’t handle that. They wouldn’t like something as small as a chihuahua, something ranging from the sizes of a westie – beagle.
It would have to be:
Calm,
Loving,
Good with children,
Gets along with cats,

So some suggestions please?
Oh, one last thing, don’t come on & try to persuade me for a big dog as it was dicussed (I wanted them to get another GSD so ours could play with a larger dog), but it was totally out of the question. Oh, & they don’t like poodles… I personally love them but, I guess their not everyones cup of tea! Could you also list why they should think about that dog & maybe listing some sites & pictures would be helpful too!

I ALWAYS pick best answers!
Abby xxx

Thanks all answers will be apprieciated =)

Besides the obvious…….?

Posted by: | Comments (14)

Besides Rottweilers, Pit Bulls, Dobermans, Presa Canrios, etc., Would you be just as afraid of other dogs such as poodles, chihuahuas, pomeranians, etc., that DON’T make the news headlines when they bite people? Being these breeds bite more people and more often than the “Dangerous breeds”, why aren’t people more afraid of them? Is it because they can kick these dogs away when bit, and they only require a band aid, compared to a larger breed that can put you in a hospital? Is it just the fact of the larger stronger bite that makes these breeds more feared? If so, why are people discriminating against some breeds which are less likely to bite, rather then the ones who bite more often?

Ok now anyone who’s ever gone looking for a puppy from a reputable breeder knows about Show vs Pet quality. Anyone learning about what to look for knows about this as well.

So here’s my question can someone PLEASE explain to me why a MUTT breeder would be as bold to have two separate price ranges for the SAME mutt?

Boredom led me to see if anyone was god forbid breeding Irish Wolfhounds and Poodles, odd combo yes but no odder than GSDs X Pug = the Shug. Found of course Irish Setters X Poodles. Anyways kept looking and came across the Irish Mastiff.

As many mastiff varieties there, this would seemed ALMOST legit. and then you get to http://oldstylekennels.net Irish Wolfhound crossed with the English mastiff to get a non shedding non drooling “largest” breed of mastiff.

Pricing – Prices for our Irish Mastiffs range from $750-1500USD
Occasionally we have pet quality Irish Mastiffs available for $400-600USD.

Now last time I checked ALL mutts are pet quality. But seriously who is stupid enough to fall for this “pet quality” nonsense? What conformation shows are these mixes winning?
Suggested Category: Society & Culture > Cultures & Groups > General – Cultures & Groups
It is rather tempting to wanting to know the difference. The only thing I could think of is if the pups get the shaggy wolfhound coat and not the short coats as seen in the gallery.

Non shed and non drooling..ha!

What breed and a Maltese be mixed with?

Posted by: | Comments (4)

First, I am not planning on breeding my dog or anything, I just want to know how many dog breeds can a Maltese be mixed with, I know some small breeds like Poodles (Maltipoo), Chihuahua (Malchi), Yorkie (Morkie),…but can Maltese be mixed with larger dogs like Rottweilers, Labs, Doberman Pinscher,…. ? And how many dogs are there is in an average litter? Can you name all the breeds that Maltese can mix with. And can a dog be pregnant by ‘mother-son’ and if yes, is there any health problem or problem with the pups. And one more thing, how to stop jealousy from my two dogs. If I give the son food, the mother will be ok, but if i give the mother food, the son will start aggression (not very much but I can tell that it’s jealous) and if the dogs are on bed, if i hug the mother, the son will start showing jealousy, any so on (you got the point right)
