Seriously, I’ve had a Basset before that was really lazy and my girlfriend has a Foxhound that never does anything. My Beagle is also really lazy. All three of the dogs sleep/slept around for most of their free time. My Beagle does things, but not unless I make him. Is this a Hound dog thing, or just a coincidence?
Lulz my Beagle IS quiet, too. everything scares him, too.

Games to play with my siberian husky puppy (14 weeks)?

Hey,

i have a 14 week old male siberian husky puppy. hes really lively and enjoys wrecking the place with our lurcher. I was wondering if anyone could suggest some less destructive games for him to play with us or any simple training games etc.

Boxer dog has a blue film over his right eye.?

My boxer is almost 5 years old and recently, while outside, I saw his right eye has a blue like colored film over the the entire pupil. I have never seen this before, what could it be? Could he be going blind in that eye?

Do you think it is time to put our dog down?

We have a 13 year old dalmatian. He was diagnosed about a year and half ago with heart murmer so Vet said he had an enlarging heart that would eventually grow so big it would slowly crowd everything….he wouldn’t just drop dead like a human. So now our dog is hacking all night long. I can’t sleep…it is worse than having a newborm. He hacks probably about every 5 minutes and gags, this goes on until about 3 or 4 AM before he finally gets to sleep. If we banish him the basement (always slept in our room), he whines even louder. I think it is time to put him down, he isn’t going to get any better and has also started having the odd accident. My husband thinks it is too early. That his tail wags, gets around and is otherwise okay. He is partially right, other than this wicked cough…he is still pretty good. The messes are annoying and he has some trouble on stairs at times, but overall a pretty happy dog still. But the couging, it’s bad….poor thing. What do we do? Is it time or wait? And what do I do with him? I can’t sleep…getting irritable.

Anyone with a Rottweiler?

I just got a new Rottweiler puppy a few days ago that is 9 weeks old. The breeder that I bought it from has been breeding Rottweilers for 15+ years and said that he put a lot of time and effort into choosing dogs that had the best temperament. The puppy is doing great so far with other animals and is not showing any signs of aggression. I know that you are supposed to socialize the dog with as many people as you can while they are still young to avoid the dog from getting too aggressive with friends/family. I hardly have company over and probably won’t be able to introduce him to anyone for quite some time. Should I be worried? This is the first time owning a Rottweiler and would like to know if any of you that own one has had to worry about theirs. I’ve always wanted one, but most of my family and friends have bashed the breed because of it’s bad reputation. I really want to prove them wrong and show that I can raise a great Rottweiler. Any tips or suggestions? Thanks!

Answer “I’ve always wanted a Rottweiler, I have plenty of time devoted to train the dog. I just simply don’t have company over that much.”

Answer “If someone asked me that I would be a little offended if I drove several hours just to look at their dog and willing to pay what they are asking for”

My husband and I were talking about it tonight and realized there was a common factor to our dog’s behavior. His favorite toys are two frogs (green), he has a favorite ball (green), and he likes to dig and rearrange two rugs (green). Do you think he just has something for that color? Or just a coincidence? Beautiful basset hound btw.
