isn’t a silky terrier like a larger version of a yorkie?…?

By

what do you think of the mix silky terrier X poodle.
would I be wrong If i canceled my dog’s spaying appointment and mixed my dog with my cousin’s shihpoo and kept the puppies? Wouldn you call me a puppy mill or breeder? I’m not canceling the appointment just wanted to hear your thoughts. I’m only thirteen, and am happy with my one puppy. Don’t you have to have a puppy that is around 2 years old, to have a good pregnancy?
JUST WONDERING

Why bring more dogs into this world when there are so many in need of a home?

no- silky and yorkies are two different terrier breeds
and yes- a dog should not be breed until she is at least 2 years of age- that means 3-4 heat cycles
and be sure if you go this route to save money for a possible C-section- about $1000.00 and not uncommon is small breed dogs

People who intentionally breed mutts should be shot. Already millions of dogs are being euthanized, in shelters, each year, because of unreputable backyard breeders who breed such things. Yes, a dog needs to be at least two before breeding and should also have their breed championship and all health and genetic testing done.

Creating mutts is just idiotic. Just say no to stupidity.

Someone that thinks silkys and yorkies are the same breed shouldn’t even own a silky terrier, let alone breed it. Would I call you a BYB? Of course I would… because that’s what you would be.

Age is just ONE thing a responsible breeder looks at. The other things are genetic testing and screening for defects, and then ONLY breeds championship dogs to BETTER the breed.

As you have been told countless times what you have is a mutt and no responsible breeder breeds mutts. You would be a BYB and should never be allowed to own pups. Since you cant get that through your head think about this, the dog should be 2 years old to breed than you have to have all health testing done in order to breed this is for the male and the female, costing over $1000, you need to put money aside for prenatal checkups for the female as you want to keep the pups you need to pay half if not all depending on the number of pups you keep, costing over $2000 more if a C section is needed, Than you have to research for the delivery and be prepared for bottle feeding the pups should the mom die or reject them, every two hours around the clock, vet bills for the pups, I would say maybe $100 per pup. Are you ready for this and than you also have the fact that sometimes you can lose the Mom and the pups and you would be left with nothing. Do you love your dog are are you to irresponsible to realize it does not need to be a father it just needs to be loved. Grow up and get another hobby. I still remember that you got this dog from a BYB that was taking them to the pound (not sure what you paid as you cannot seem to get the price right) It is not breeding quality and may not even be the mix you were told.

Yes, if you were to to start randomly breeding various breeds and mutts together, I would consider you a backyard breeder. There is a lot more that determines a “good pregnancy” besides the age of the dog. For starters, as the breeder, you have to be thoroughly educated and experienced in the process, which you clearly are not.
