What happens when a small male dog mates with a larger female dog?

By

My dog is a small male yorkie/chihuahua and has mated with my aunts poodle.i have three different questions:
1.im worried that the babies will be born with complications will they????
2.im not definitely sure if she is pregnant because yesterday i saw them “mating” and this morning he wont let anyone go near her and hes never been this aggressive. is this a sign that shes pregnant?
3.if she is how long will it take them to be born??
i need answers A.S.A.P!! thanks
hey f.y.i i love puppies and i never planned to breed them! i left my dog with her to take care of him and it just happened and they are not mongrels you damn puppy haters!!!! so if anyone has USEFUL info please tell me if not then go take ur pessimistic ideas elsewhere!

1. Dogs have puppies, not babies. Humans have babies.
2. Get your dogs fixed and be responsible for the first time in your life.
3. Get your dog some obedience training and stop spoiling him.
4. Get your aunt’s female an E-Spay and stop adding more unwanted mongrels into the world/shelter system to be euthanized and/or add more unwanted mongrels into the world/shelter system for the same purpose.
5. Go call mommy and daddy to take the dogs in to the vet to do the responsible thing.

ETA:
Mutt + Mutt = Mongrel pups.
Your Yorkie/Chihuahua mix? It’s a mutt.
Your aunt’s Poodle? Not purebred because she would already have been spayed – therefore she’s a mutt.
Your mutt dogs having a litter together? Not purebred pups, and not mutt pups — mongrel pups are produced.

The world has no need for more mongrel pups created by irresponsible dog owners.

Both of you need to take your dogs into the VET to be fixed.
Yes there could be complications, you never know, it could even kill your aunts dog having puppies.
If this isn’t a well planned litter, which it is not, then you need to be responsible & have your dogs altered.

1. You’ll have monetarily worthless mutts and be adding to the overpopulation of mutts, and most of those puppies will ultimately be surrendered to shelters when they are older and be euthanized because no one wants to adopt a 3 year old dog. They only want puppies.

2. Neuter your male..no more worries.

3. Go to http://petfinder.com/ and explain the importance of an emergency spay to your aunt TOMORROW. Most of those dogs will be euthanized.

Both of these dogs need to be spayed and neutered ASAP

Why are you risking the female’s life over a litter of mongrel pups? Why are you allowing a mixed breed dog to reproduce?

There is ALWAYS a risk of complications, expecially with small dogs

You’re not going to know this soon that she’s pregnant

Gestation is 63-65 days.. if you dont know that you certainly have no buisiness breeding.

Breed A + Breed B = mutt, or mongrel pup

Mutt/Mongrel + Breed C = mutt, or mongrel pup

Get the dogs spayed and neutered.

1. Not really, dam usually have problems if the daddy is bigger or if you don’t treat the dam right during pregnancy
2.No. you are thinking too much that’s all. you saw them mating but did they tie?(if you don’t know even know what that means then you should really starting reading some books or do some research). get your dog to the vet and have a ultra sound around 2 weeks to see if she’s pregnant.
3. around 58 to 63 days.
The most USEFUL answer to all your question is have your aunts dog spray(it’s not too late right now even she might or might not be pregnant), because seems like you both have no clue of what you doing.

the female is supposed to be bigger than the male…she just needs to take her to the vet for a prenatal checkup at 30 days…and a xray at 55 days…but her dog should be fine….if it was the other way around the female smaller than the male then i would say be worried…my females are all larger than the males when i breed them…
