Why is my 1 year old Boxer dog’s poop so mushy?
ByI have two other dogs, one Boxer and one Chiweenie and their poop is solid. Its driving me crazy picking up this runny crap everyday.

Well obviously he’s sick, maybe you should take him to the vet.

Some dogs don’t do well on certain food. We had that same problem, until we switched our dog to a food that had no lamb in it.

he is not tolerating something in his diet , or he’s sick (worms?)

your boxer eats the same food as the other dogs?I suppose, he has a food allergy, or a digestive problem.
Are the stools are really foul smelling, and textured like a porridge?I had a dog like that.He had to take digestive enzymes. These enzymes are sold at human health stores.Look under:pancreatin or digestive enzymes.take a capsule, and sprinkle it on top of the food.feed the dog twice a day, this way, he will absorb the food better.

It can be from overfeeding your dog. But here is a great remedy for diarreah or a dog that has loose bowels from some type of disturbance. You need to go to the health store for this or order it on-line. It will also cure your own potty problems works for humans and dogs- saccharomyces boulardii Jarrow formulas makes it. It is just a probiotic that is even given to infants to halt the runs in their tracks. You can not overdose your dog. I say give it five capsules in its food whatever it swallows without thinking. I know it works try it.We all know you probably already have your dog up to date on worming etc. So give this a try!

FIRST OFF DOES YOUR BOXER HAVE A SENSITIVE STOMACH ??? AND TWO WHAT ARE YOU FEEDING HIM OR HER??? I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY BOXER SINCE SHE WAS 7 WEEKS OLD. AND I HAVE BEEN BADDLING THIS ISSUES EVER SINCE. WHAT I DID WAS USE EAGLE PACK DUCK AND OATMEAL MADE FOR SENSITIVE STOMACH AND IBD DOGS LIKE BOXERS. NOW MY BOXER HAS FIRM NORMAL POOP EVERY DAY NO MORE OF THE SOFT MUSHY POOP LIKE SHE DID WHEN SHE WAS A YOUNGER PUPPY. MY BOXER IS NOW 11 MONTHS SO WHAT YOU CAN DO IS GO THE WEB http://www.eaglepack.com AND LOOK UP DUCK AND OATMEAL IT’S IN A DARK GREEN BAG AND IT WILL SAY EAGLE PACK DUCK AND OATMEAL DOG FOOD AND HOPEFULLY THAY HAVE A STORE IN YOUR HOME TOWN THAT SALES THE STUFF FOR YOUR BOXER.

Soft stool is usually a sign of either intestinal illness/irritation or poor diet. Dogs fed a carb-heavy low quality diet like Purina or Pedigree tend to have big wet poops, while dogs fed a quality grain-free diet like Innova Evo, or a raw diet, will have small, firm poops. Every dog is different, some dogs manage to tolerate low-quality foods, while others will never thrive on it.
